Member Portal FAQ

Quick answers to the questions members ask most about the web portal.

Quick answers to the questions members ask most about the web portal.

How do I log in? Do I need a password?

No password needed. Enter your email address, and we'll send a 6-digit code to your inbox. Enter the code to sign in. Tick Remember Me to stay signed in on a device you trust.

I entered my email but I'm told to contact my pastor. Why?

Only people whose email is already in the church's records can log in. Visitors and archived people can't log in to the Church Portal or the My Gracely app. If you see a message to contact your pastor (or church office), ask them to add your email to the church's People list (or remove your visitor or archived status), then try again.

My email belongs to more than one church. What happens?

The web portal is tied to your church's own web address, so signing in there always logs you into that church — even if your email is registered with more than one. To switch between churches with a single login, use the My Gracely mobile app, which lets you pick the church after you enter your code.

What can I do in the portal?

  • See your Home dashboard (updates, upcoming events, giving summary)

  • Update My Profile and upload a photo

  • View and manage My Family

  • Give and review your gifts in My Gift History

  • Browse Events & Calendar

  • See My Groups and browse groups to join

  • Use Messages (church and group chat)

  • Fill out and review Forms

  • Use the Member Directory

Why can't I edit my email?

Your email ties together all your records and documents, so it's shown for reference but can't be changed in the portal. If it's wrong, contact your church office.

Why can't I post in a chat room?

Some rooms are read-only for regular members — only leaders and admins can post there. You can still read the messages. Group chats are usually open to everyone in the group.

Why is another member's phone or email missing from the directory?

Each member controls what they share. If someone has hidden their photo, email, phone, or address, those details won't appear. See Member privacy and the church directory.

How do I control what others see about me?

Visibility toggles aren't in the web portal yet. Manage them in the My Gracely mobile app (Profile → Edit details), or ask your church staff. See Member privacy and the church directory.

Can I cancel a recurring donation myself?

Yes. Open My Gift History, click Cancel next to the recurring donation, then confirm with Cancel Donation. Your past donations stay on record. The My Gracely app shows your gifts but can't cancel a recurring donation.

Is there a mobile app?

Yes — My Gracely is available for iPhone (App Store) and Android (Google Play). It gives you the same essentials plus push notifications and the directory privacy toggles.
