What you can do in the My Gracely app vs. the web portal

Learn which member features work in both the My Gracely app and the web portal, and which actions (like family/household editing) are web-only.

The My Gracely app and the web member portal are two ways to access your church account, and they share most of the same features. A few actions are only available on the web member portal. This article explains what's the same, what's web-only, and where to go for each task.

What's the same in both places

Almost everything you use day to day works in both the My Gracely app and the web member portal:

  • Home — your personalized dashboard and church updates

  • Giving — give online and view your giving history

  • Calendar / Events — browse the church calendar and RSVP to events

  • Chat — message your church and group conversations

  • Groups — join and view your groups

  • Forms — fill out and manage forms

  • Announcements — read the latest church announcements

  • Your profile — view and edit your own personal and contact details

What you can do in the app

You can edit your own personal and contact details right in the app. Go to Profile → Edit details to update your information.

This includes your member-directory privacy toggles — the switches that control whether your photo, email, phone, and address are visible to other members. These privacy toggles live in the app (and in the admin dashboard), so you can manage what you share directly from your phone. For step-by-step help, see Updating Member Profile Information.

What's web-only

Family / household editing

Editing your family or household is web-only. In the app, My Family is view-only — you can browse the Details, Giving, Attendance, Forms, and Groups tabs, but you can't make changes there.

To do any of the following, use the web member portal:

  • Add family members

  • Set the Head of Household

  • Change family roles
