Your data is yours
Your church's information is kept private to your church and used only to run the features you've turned on.
Secure payments
Online giving is processed by trusted payment providers — Stripe and PayPal. Sensitive card details are handled by those providers, not stored by your church.
Member directory privacy
If your church enables the member directory, members can find one another — but each member controls what's shared. They can show or hide their photo, email, phone, and address.
A few things to know:
Everything is visible by default. A detail is only hidden when a member (or an admin) explicitly turns it off.
Privacy is enforced behind the scenes. Hidden details are removed before any data reaches another member's device, and a member's visibility settings are never shared with anyone else.
Hidden details hide their actions too. Hide a phone number and the Call/Text buttons disappear; hide an email and the Email button disappears; hide an address and the Map button disappears.
Where members manage their visibility
In the My Gracely app: Profile → Edit details, using the toggles such as Allow other church members to see my phone in the member directory.
From the admin dashboard: an admin can adjust a member's email/phone/address visibility in the Edit contact details modal, and show/hide a photo from the profile sidebar.
⚠️ Note: The web member portal doesn't currently include these visibility toggles. If a member wants to change what's visible, they can use the My Gracely app or ask a church admin to update it for them.
Turning the directory on or off
Admins control the church-wide directory under Settings → Church → Defaults → Portal Member Directory ("Allow members to view directory of other members").
