Welcome to Portal Studio — your visual website builder for your church's public portal (your church website). Here's the good news: your site is already built and live from day one. Portal Studio is simply where you make it your own, from colors and fonts to pages, photos, giving, and your events calendar.
This is your home base for customizing the site. Below you'll find an overview of what's here, followed by a step-by-step roadmap linking every guide in the series.
Opening Portal Studio
In your main dashboard sidebar, click Portal & Access. This opens Portal Studio. You'll also see a View Portal button that opens your live site in a new tab, so you can see exactly what your visitors see any time.
The Portal Studio sections
Everything you can customize lives in the left sidebar of Portal Studio:
Overview — your portal URL, custom domain, and quick stats at a glance.
Theme & Styles — your church's colors, fonts, and overall look.
Navigation & Footer — your top menu and the footer at the bottom of every page.
Pages — the content pages your visitors see, and the builder for editing them.
Gallery — photos from your church community that you can feature on your pages.
Giving Widget — your online donation experience.
Calendar Widget — how your events calendar looks and behaves on the site.
Good to know before you start
Your site is always live. Each section has its own Save button, and saving publishes to your portal immediately — there's no separate draft-and-publish step to worry about.
You're not starting from a blank page. New churches begin with a full, pre-built set of pages — Home, Groups, Events, Forms, Posts, Give, and Member Login — all ready for you to customize.
See your real site any time. Click View Portal whenever you'd like to check how your changes look on the live site.
Who can edit your website
Portal Studio is available to users with portal access. By default, that's the Administrator, Pastor, IT, and Standard roles. It's included in your plan — the only paid extra is an optional custom domain, if you'd like to use your own web address.
