Your Church Portal pages are built and edited in Portal Studio, Gracely's built-in, drag-and-drop website builder. This guide covers everything you do on a page: editing text inline, swapping images, adding new content blocks, and saving your work so it goes live.
To get started, open the page you want to change and click Edit. This opens the visual editor, where the canvas shows your page exactly as visitors will see it.
Getting to know the editor
The toolbar runs across the top of the editor. From here you can:
Back arrow and page title — leave the editor and see which page you're working on.
Device preview — switch between Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile to check how your page looks on different screen sizes.
Undo / Redo — step backward or forward through your recent changes.
Panel toggles — open the Blocks, Styles, Layers, and Settings panels.
Save — publish your changes (the button shows “Saving…” while it works).
Editing text on a page
To change the wording anywhere on a page:
Double-click the text on the canvas that you want to change.
Type your edit directly inline, right where the text sits on the page.
What you see on the canvas is what your visitors will see, so you can edit with confidence. If you change your mind, use Undo in the toolbar to revert.
Adding and replacing images
To put a new picture on the page, add an Image block (see the next section) or select an image that's already there. Then upload your file in the Asset Manager: drag a file onto it, or click to browse and choose one from your computer. Your uploaded image drops straight into the spot you selected.
Adding content blocks
Blocks are the building pieces of every page. To add one, open the Blocks panel and drag the block you want onto the page, dropping it where you'd like it to sit.
Basic blocks are general-purpose pieces you fill in yourself:

Church blocks pull in your live church data automatically, so they stay up to date without any manual editing:
Events
Groups

Adjusting a block's settings
Select any block and open the Settings panel to fine-tune its options — for example, how many events an Events block shows, or the address a Google Maps block points to. The available options change depending on the block you've selected.
Moving, duplicating, and deleting blocks
Select a block to bring up its floating toolbar, which lets you move, duplicate, or delete it. You can also press the Delete key to remove a selected block. Made a mistake? Undo / Redo in the top toolbar have you covered.
Saving your changes
When you're happy with your edits, click Save. Portal Studio has a single Save button, so there's no separate draft and publish step — saved changes go live on your portal immediately.
Tip: because saving publishes right away, it's a good idea to review your edits (and check the mobile preview) before you click Save.
