Many churches put a QR code on a sign, a screen, the slides or even the back of a chair so you can check in to an event yourself. You can do it from the My Gracely app or from your phone's browser. Both work the same way.
Step 1: Scan the code
Open your phone's camera, point it at the QR code and tap the link that appears.
If you have the My Gracely app and you're logged in to that church, check-in opens in the app.
Otherwise it opens in your browser. No app needed.
Step 2: Gracely recognises you
Logged in to the My Gracely app or to your church's member portal on the same phone? Gracely already knows who you are, and your family shows up right away. Skip to Step 3.
Not logged in? Enter the email address your church has for you and tap Find me. Gracely matches you against your church's list, whether you're a member or have visited before. Nothing is sent to anyone.
If you're the only person in your household, you're checked in straight away.
Step 3: Check in your whole family
One person can check in the whole family. Under Who's here today for the event? everyone in your household is already selected, so a parent or head of household can check in everyone with one tap.
Untick anyone who isn't with you today, or use Select all / Unselect all.
Tap Check-in now.
You'll see Successfully checked in! Enjoy! with everyone you checked in.
đĄ Tip: Your family is the one your church has set up in Gracely. If someone is missing or shouldn't be there, ask your church to update your family.
First time here?
If your email isn't in the church's list yet, you'll see Looks like you are new here?
Enter your First name, Last name and Email. Phone number is optional.
Tap Check-in.
Your details go only to the church. Next time you scan, use the same email and Gracely will recognise you.
Checking in children
If someone shows At the kids' desk, the church uses secure child check-in for this event. Check them in at the kids' desk so they get a name tag and you get a pickup code.
Kids going to Kids Church still need a name tag from the kids' desk.
If check-in isn't open yet
Check-in opens 60 minutes before the event starts and closes 60 minutes after it ends. If you're early, you'll see Check-in is not open right now and when it opens.
đĄ Tip: In the My Gracely app, tap Notify me when it opens and you'll get a reminder as soon as you can check in.
Common messages
Please check in at the welcome desk: the church team will check you in. This shows when a child needs secure check-in, or when the church can't match your email to just one person.
Your lookup expired, please search again: enter your email again. A lookup is valid for 15 minutes.
This event has no self check-in: this event doesn't use QR check-in. Please check in at the welcome desk.
