This article explains push notifications in My Gracely and how to turn them on or off.
What you'll be notified about
My Gracely can send push notifications for:
Announcements from your church.
Birthday wishes: a Happy Birthday message on your birthday, if your church has your birthday on file.
Check-in reminders you set yourself. If you scan an event's QR code before check-in opens, tap Notify me when it opens and you'll get a Check-in is open notification when you can check in.
Tapping an announcement or check-in notification takes you straight to it.
Turning notifications on
The first time you log in, the app asks permission to send notifications. Tap Allow to receive them.
đĄ Tip: Notifications require a real phone or tablet, they don't work on simulators or in test builds.
Managing notifications later
Notifications are controlled by your device settings:
iPhone
Open Settings.
Scroll to My Gracely (or open Settings â Notifications â My Gracely).
Turn Allow Notifications on or off.
Android
Open Settings â Apps â My Gracely â Notifications.
Turn notifications on or off. You can also adjust the two channels, Default and Announcements.
Not receiving notifications?
Make sure notifications are allowed for My Gracely in your device settings.
Confirm you're logged in, notifications are tied to your account.
Make sure you're on a real device, connected to the internet.
Reopen the app after changing permissions.
