Setting up a service or class that happens on a schedule? Gracely's repeat options cover everything from a daily prayer slot to "the second Sunday of every month." Here's what each one does.
Where to find the repeat options
When you create or edit an event, set the Event start and Event end, then choose a Repeating events option. (Some options only appear when they fit your dates — for example, Daily and Weekly only show for short events.)
The repeat options
Does not repeat — a one-time event.
Daily — repeats every day.
Weekly — repeats on the same weekday each week (for example, every Sunday).
Bi-Weekly — repeats every other week on the same weekday.
Monthly — repeats on the same date each month (for example, the 15th).
Monthly by Weekday — repeats on the same weekday position each month (for example, the 2nd Sunday or the last Friday). Choose both the position (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, last) and the weekday.
MultiWeekly — repeats on specific weekdays you choose (for example, every Tuesday and Thursday). Pick one or more weekdays.
Yearly — repeats once a year on the same date.
💡 Tip: Use Monthly by Weekday for things like "first Sunday Communion" that should always land on a weekday, not a fixed date.
How occurrences work
Each occurrence appears on the calendar as its own event date.
Attendance, check-ins, and headcounts are tracked per occurrence, so each date has its own numbers.
Volunteer assignments are also per occurrence — you can schedule different volunteers for each date.
Tips for clean recurring events
Double-check your start and end times before saving — they apply to every occurrence.
For patterns like Monthly by Weekday and MultiWeekly, make sure you've selected both the position and the weekday, or the event can't be saved.
You can edit an event later if plans change.
