Communication Hub overview

An overview of the Communications section and when to use it versus sending from People, Groups, or Events.

The Communications section is your church's central hub for reaching members. It brings emails, texts, and announcements together in one place, with a history of everything you've sent.

What's in the hub

Open Communications from the left-hand menu. You'll find three tabs at the top:

  • Emails — compose, schedule, and review emails. Click Send new to write one.

  • SMS — send and review text messages. Click Send new to compose. (SMS must be activated first.)

  • Announcements — post updates that appear in your Church Portal and the My Gracely app. Click Create new to add one.

Each tab keeps a running list of what you've sent (and what's scheduled or saved as a draft), so you always have a record.

When to use the hub vs. People or Groups

You can email and text from a few places in Gracely. Pick whichever is fastest for who you're trying to reach:

  • Communication Hub — best when you want to hand-pick recipients across your church (mix individuals and groups) or review your sending history. Start here for one-off blasts and scheduled sends.

  • People section — best when you're already looking at your member list. Select members with checkboxes and email or text them on the spot.

  • Groups — best when you want to reach everyone in a specific group. Open the group and click Mail or SMS in its sidebar.

  • Events — best for reaching attendees of a specific event. Open the event and click Email.

💡 Tip: No matter where you start, emails and texts use the same composers — so the Subject, recipient, scheduling, and draft options work the same everywhere.
