How to enable the Member Directory in your Church Portal

By default, the Directory is turned off in Gracely. Enabling it allows church members to see other members directly from the Church Portal

Steps to Enable the Member Directory

  1. Go to Church Settings

    • From the left-hand menu, click My ChurchChurch Settings.

  2. Select the Defaults Tab

    • At the top of the settings page, click on the Defaults tab.

  3. Scroll to Portal Settings

    • Locate the section titled Portal Settings.

  4. Enable the Directory

    • Toggle the switch next to Portal Member Directory to turn it on.

    • Off (default): Members cannot see others in the portal.

    • On: Logged-in members can view and search the directory of other members, along with their details.

  5. Save Your Changes

    • Click Save Settings at the bottom of the page to apply changes.

What Members Can See

When the directory is enabled, logged-in members can:

  • View other members within the church portal.

  • Access basic details such as name, family, and contact information (based on your church’s chosen settings).

Important: The Member Directory is never visible to visitors or the public — only authenticated, logged-in members can access it.
