Before you start
Make sure:
Online giving is activated for your church
A payment processor (Stripe and/or PayPal) is connected
At least one fund is active
If online giving is not active yet, click Activate online giving from the Giving or Funds page.
Step 1: Get your embed code
You can get the embed code two ways:
From the Giving Widget customizer: open Portal Studio → Giving Widget, scroll to the Embed & Sharing card, and copy the Embed Code. This version reflects all of your customizations.
From Funds: go to Funds, click the three dots (⋯) in the top-right corner, and select Embed online giving to open a modal with the code.
Step 2: Copy the embed code
Click Copy. This copies an iframe that contains your church’s secure giving form, which automatically reflects:
Your active funds
Deductible / non-deductible settings
Your connected online payment methods
Step 3: Add the code to your website
Paste the code where you want the form to appear. Common places:
A “Give” page
Your homepage
A donation section inside another page
You can paste it into a custom HTML block, a page-builder HTML widget, or your site’s source code. Once saved, the giving form appears immediately.
💡 Tip: Prefer not to embed? Use the Direct Link in the Embed & Sharing card to share your giving page directly via email, text, QR code, or social media.
What happens after someone gives
The donation is recorded instantly under Giving
The donor is matched to a profile or one is created automatically
Funds, amounts, and payment methods are tracked correctly
Donations appear in reports and tax statements
No manual work needed.
Helpful tips
The form is fully responsive and works on mobile
You can embed it on multiple pages
Any fund changes in Gracely update the embedded form automatically
Control the form’s look in Portal Studio → Giving Widget (see How to customize your online giving widget in Gracely)
